Quarantined
What's happening to me, inside of me?
Meanwhile for 51 days we have been in quarantine, cut off from Covid-19, but also from life, from nature. The positive thing is, I'm here with my wonderful wife and most important, more and more at peace with myself. The encounter with Covid lays still ahead of me and as a child I would certainly not have had these fears, because
in my childhood I played almost daily on the streets, in the woods and fields, putting everything that creeped around or was growing somewhere into my mouth, certainly also quite some viruses and bacteria. Sometimes my stomach reacted very strangely, but mostly it went well. My immune system, which had a little problem at birth, got better and better. At home, I played with Lego bricks and wooden toys. My mother was at home, my father worked. Sometimes I was allowed to watch TV on Sundays, but that brought me little joy.
In the next generation, playing outside was suddenly dangerous, you could put something poisonous, unhealthy in your mouth and get sick. The isolation from nature started slowly, the immune system lost its value...Besides, at that time, at the end of the 80's, there were the first computer games, nature as a playground was pushed more and more into the background, but at least you could still talk personally with your friends and other people. The toys in the house, were mostly equipped with some kind of technology and batteries. On TV, the first private channels, with lots of advertisement "upgraded" the three basic programs. The parents did not worry much about whether this development was really good for their children, allegedly healthier, because nature holds many dangers.
At some point, appeared mobile phones, e-mail and personal conversations became less and less important and nature could mainly be seen in books, on the Internet or in the rare holiday trips with the parents. One called his friends on the new handy or exchanged news via e-mail. Nature, what is it? The natural toys became electronic.
And today's young generation live in an absolutely unreal world, shaped by computers or smartphone worlds. Playing outside the home, in nature, is difficult for most people even to imagine. But thanks, until recently you were still allowed to go to school, where you sometimes had to switch off your beloved smartphone or had to talk to classmates.
The parents seem to be quite happy about this development. The children are out of the way, which is good, because in order to make all their dreams come true, both parents have to work.
And some children out of my generation are politicians today: they lock up children and adults in their houses, to protect us from a virus that has at some point appeared in the natural cycle of the earth. I am convinced, if humans would have remained in nature for the last generations, the virus Covid-19 could not harm us. He is part of the whole, just as we were.
And, What will be next.... some computer chips are implanted into our brains, programmed for health and our vulnerable organs will be replaced through machine parts until we have become robots ourselves and have replaced our entire environment with machines. Pain will disappear, with all our other emotions.
We have become puppets. The so called "leaders" do what they want to do with us....we do not have a right anymore. Total control, somebody wants total control and we play his game....
Do we really want this, or isn´t it time to think about a major change?
I see that people have moved throughout time outwards on a spiral away from the source... further and further, bigger and bigger, faster and faster.
I think it is time that we should go back in the spiral, back to the beginning, for a new beginning, we have to accept that we are part of this wonderful nature, the nature where everything that exists has a role, has a purpose. It's not about control or being better. Everything is the same. So are we, only we have forgotten it.
